About the Osteopath

Richard Fulton

BSc (Hons) Physiology, BSc (Hons) Osteopathy

Originally from Carnoustie, Richard studied Physiology at Dundee University, graduating with an honours degree in 2000. As part of his Physiology degree he studied Anatomy for a year with cadaver studies at the medical science institute at Dundee University and a year of Pharmacology at Ninewells hospital.

After graduating Richard took a few years out travelling around Australia and South East Asia and still enjoys travelling and spending time in the far east.

Upon returning home Richard enrolled with the College of Osteopaths in London and completed his training with an honours degree in Osteopathy in 2009. After graduating Richard worked as a locum at Perth Chiropractic Clinic until 2012 and started Carnoustie Osteopathic Clinic in 2010.

During his studies Richard completed an APNT course in sports massage which he integrates into his treatments. He also has practical experience of working in an NHS referral clinic in Haringey, London.

In 2012 Richard successfully completed a medical acupuncture course allowing him to integrate this therapy into his treatments.

All osteopaths have a slightly different approach to treatment based on their education, understanding and experience. Richard’s approach focuses heavily on patient education to remove the anxiety and uncertainty associated with pain, empowering patients to take control.

Richard is registered with the General Osteopathic Council, The British Osteopathic Association and the Scottish Osteopathic Society.
